Drafters / Designers / Technicians

Structural Designer

Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to structural engineering design.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Generate construction drawings using MicroStation computer aided drafting applications to perform checks for peer drawings, generate design estimates, and oversee junior designers and drafters.

  • Develop layouts pertaining to seismic and wind analyses, foundation design, structural framing analyses and design, and bracing analyses and design.

  • Knowledge of MicroStation computer aided drafting applications or equivalent type package is required.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in the field of structural design as related to construction and site development.

Travel Requirements:

  • Candidates should expect some travel, dependent upon candidate’s location.  

​

​Clearance Requirements:

  • Preferred, but not required.

​

Work Hours:

  • A 40-hour work week is schedule.  Each workday has a 30-minute lunch break (unpaid).  Overtime may be required as necessary.
